Introducing a culture turn in household food waste research: implications for theory, method, and policy

24-26/1/23

University of Haifa, Israel

This workshop brings together scholars whose research emphasizes the diversity in approaches to understanding how household food waste practices are shaped by culture and religion. We will aim at articulating a comprehensive theoretical framework for addressing the cultural aspects of household food waste generation and avoidance and at outlining recommendations that consider the centrality of culture and religion in policy messages and mechanisms.
